Jardines de la Reina (Gardens of the Queen) Cuba 10/27/2024-11/-2/2024-This is a (7) night, (6) guided fishing trip aboard the Livaboard the Jardines Avalon F11. Fishing and staying aboard a Livaboard during this trip is the most comfortable and luxurious way to do a Saltwater Flats trip. At the “JDR” you will cast for large Tarpon as well as fish for Permit, Bonefish, Jacks, Barracuda, Shark, etc. The JDR is a favorite fishery of Fly Anglers from around the world. The JDR is located in a vast Cuban marine park that is bigger than the size of Florida. The aJDR is who wishes to live and experience fishing from dawn till dusk. At the JDR, Avalon (Outfitter) offers more fishing hours than any other Cuban location.  Punta Allen, Mexico 11/10/24-11/16/24- Our annual trip to the Punta Allen Fishing Club is a highlight on East Rosebud’s travel calendar. This is a trip that East Rosebud deems as the “Permit Super Bowl” meaning if you want to catch a Permit of a lifetime, Ascension Bay is the place to do it. This saltwater environment also provides superb Tarpon, Snook, Barracuda and Bonefish Angling opportunities. The Punta Allen Fishing Club is located just 50 meters from the beach right in the heart of the lobster village, Punta Allen. The “PAFC” Lodge was constructed utilizing indigenous hard woods, Mexican stucco style brick and tiles following the local traditional style. The PAFC Lodge is located within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere meeting all standards of protection for the environment. The PAFC Fly Fishing Guides are Mexican Nationals lead by Head Guide, Juanito Briceno. Juanito and his team of are some of the best and most experienced professional Guides in the region. Your fishing is conducted out of a 25’ Panga which are specially kitted for Flats fishing.  Cayo Romano Cuba 12/7/24-12/14/24- This is absolutely one of our favorite Cuban trips. The value associated with Cayo Romano is shocking for what you get. Located on the North shore of the eastern province of Camaguey, the Cayo Romano fishery is an enormous system of flats, lagoons, and pristine estuaries. Commercial fishing within this designated area is strictly forbidden and rigorously enforced. There are very few places on earth where guests can fish for both BIG Bonefish each day while also fishing for tailing Permit. Cayo Romano also has quality Tarpon, Barracuda and Lemon Shark fishing. The main reason to fish Romano is the opportunity at trophy Bonefish and Permit. Cayo Romano has only been in operation since 2011 and has not seen as many clients, particularly when compared to other locations in the Caribbean that offer this quality of Fly Fishing. Your accommodations include lodging at The Romano which is a beautiful Resort style setting. We are only 100 yards from the Marina where we board our Skiffs each day. The Romano has a swimming pool, bar, lounge, restaurants and bowling alley. All rooms are spacious and well appointed with AC, tile floors and beautiful showers. Long Island Bahamas Week 1- 12/29/24-1/5/24  Week 2- 1/5/25- 1/12/25- One of the most amazing trips on East Rosebud’s travel calendar is our Long Island Bahamas trip. This trip is (7) nights accommodations and (6) days of Guided Saltwater Flats fishing with some of the most talented Bohemian Guides in the sport for just $3695.00. Located at Deadman’s Cay, Long Island the Smith Wells Lodge consists of  (4) simple but comfortable two bedroom apartments. The food at the Smith Wells Lodge features lots of fish like Grouper and the Bohemian staple, Conch. The habitat and Saltwater Flats around the South end of Long Island consist of white sand Flats and water colors that vary between green, blue and turquoise. The Flats of Long Island hold both quality numbers and size of Bonefish. There is also the occasional Permit and Tarpon on Long Island although we sell this trip as a Bonefish trip. One of the absolute best qualities of Long Island and it’s fishery is the lack of Angling pressure. The Guides at Smith Wells Lodge Sammy, Clyde, Jerry and Frank are all quality Bonefish Guides as well as nice men making the experience of fishing with them an absolute pleasure.
